Coopérative de solidarité AccessibilitéWeb

The mission of the Coopérative de solidarité AccessibilitéWeb (CSAW) is to promote e-accessibility within public and private sector Web sites. In addition to offering training, evaluation, and Web site certification services, AccessibilitéWeb conducts research and development. Through its efforts, the CSAW seeks to actively contribute to the social inclusion of persons with disabilities to the Web and promote best practices among Webmasters.

Institut Nazareth et Louis-Braille

The mission of the Institut Nazareth et Louis-Braille (INLB) is to develop the autonomy and promote the social integration and participation of persons with a visual disability living in the regions of Montérégie, Montréal, and Laval by providing services adapted to their needs and their environment. The INLB has updated its mission by offering a full range of adjustment, rehabilitation, social integration, schooling, and professional services to persons with a visual disability.

Communauté de pratique sur l'accessibilité du Web

The objective of the Communauté de pratique sur l'accessibilité du Web (CoPAW)), managed by the Institute Nazareth et Louis-Braille and the AccessibilitéWeb Cooperative, is to support and train Webmasters on the techniques for developing accessible Web sites. The mission of the CoPAW is to build consensus among various experts and put in place communication tools that will help promote Web accessibility.

The mission of Communautique (Comtik) is to make information and communication technology readily available to community and working class groups as well as to potentially excluded citizens. The mission is carried out with a view to offering all citizens equal opportunities to fully benefit from democratic life. In addition to contributing to the development of community spaces on the Web, Communautique offers Web development services, with the purpose of achieving autonomy and accessibility for all.

W3Québec

W3Québec (W3Qc) was born out of a desire to enhance the quality of the Web and multimedia as communications tools in Quebec by making them accessible to everyone. W3Québec’s plan is to highlight the strategic, technological, economic, and sociopolitical issues associated with their use and to raise awareness among industry stakeholders of the added value of standards and best practices. W3Québec is committed to promoting the standards and best practices of the Web and multimedia industries within Quebec.
